Central PA tourism is at its height during the summer time. In the summer, central PA tourism attractions provide families with opportunities to make memories and enjoy the outdoors. Sporting events, outdoor scenes, and other attractions in Central Pennsylvania provide summertime fun.

Sporting Events

Western and Eastern Pennsylvania host Major League Baseballs. However, central PA also provides you with the opportunity to with good quality baseball. The Harrisburg Senators and Altoona Curve are both Major League Baseball affiliate teams. They are located in central PA and provide entertainment at an affordable price. Gretna Lake & Beach in Lebanon provides tourists with the most laid back outdoors experience. Enjoy the beach and picnics areas while you relax.

If you are not into sporting events or exploring the outdoors, there are other central PA tourism attractions for you to enjoy. Cherry Crest Adventure Farm in Ronks provides children with an interactive petting zoo experience. Meet and feed goats, pigs, and other animals. Cumberland Drive-in located in Newville is a more relaxed setting. This is one of the last drive-in movie theaters in Pennsylvania. Watch a movie from your car in a traditional drive-in setting. Julius Sturgis Pretzel Bakery in Lititz is our final attraction. One thing everyone can agree on is good food. Stop at this historic bakery that has been in business for 150 years. They provide tours, hands-on lessons, and of course pretzels for you to enjoy.
