1 – Information

When you sign up for our service, we will ask you to provide contact information including your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, preferred payment gateway, and any information necessary to complete your order through that payment gateway. This information is required in order to obtain service from Fresh Roasted Hosting.

We may ask you to complete user surveys, and to provide certain demographic information, such as age, gender, how you heard of FRH, what websites you visit, special interests, etc. This information is optional:  you do not have to provide this type of information to use our service.

If you contact us for technical support, we may also ask you for information about your operating system, software, and other technical matters. This information is optional, but we may not be able to provide an optimal level of support if you choose not to provide this information.

When you visit our website we will capture your IP address, time of and duration of visit, and time and duration of the pages on our Web site that you view. This information is collected automatically without any effort or decision-making from you. We may tie this information to the personally identifiable information we have about you.

We will place a cookie that will identify you to us as a repeat visitor or a customer when you visit our Web site. This is done automatically without any effort or decision-making from you. We may tie this cookie to the personally identifiable information we have about you.

If we send you an email, we may include a marker that will allow to identify e-mail that is opened and viewed.

If you send us an email, send us a support ticket, or reply to a support ticket, all information that you provide may be tied to the personally identifiable information we have about you.

In all cases, all information obtained by Fresh Roasted Hosting may be stored for a period of up to five (5) years after the conclusion of all business transactions between you and us.

2 – Use of Personally Identifiable Information

Personally identifiable information (“PII”) consists of your legal name, email address, user name, and telephone number.  We will use your personally identifiable information:

  • for internal tasks such as processing payments, providing customer support, for identity verification, and for account management;
  • to allow third party vendors to provide services on our behalf;
  • to announce special offers by us and our third parties, though we will not provide these third parties with your PII;

  • to improve our service and the marketing of our service.

  • a law enforcement agency, regulatory agency, or court of law at their request in response to a formal or informal request;
  • to a third party in response to a formal request in a civil action that on its face meets the requirements for such a request;
  • a person, company, or other entity who acquires our business;
  • to our subsidiaries and affiliates;
  • as otherwise needed to protect or enforce the rights of others; and
  • third parties who perform services on our behalf (such as payment processing or customer support), subject to the third party agreeing with us that it will keep your PII confidential.

We do not sell, rent, lease, share, distribute, make available, or otherwise authorize the use of your PII for inclusion on any third-party email list.

3 – Use of Non-Personally Identifiable Information

We may share aggregate statistical data about our customers with third parties, such as advertisers or suppliers. This aggregate statistical data will not identify you personally.

We may share your non-personally identifiable information publicly in response to a statement by you for the purpose of correcting, clarifying, or responding to any information presented by you.

4 – Cookies

A cookie is an alphanumeric identifier that is unique to your browser. The cookie will identify your browser to us when you visit our web site so that we may customize your visit.  We also use cookies as one part of our authentication and security measures.  Certain third-party websites and applications (including advertisers) can use cookies to identify which sites you have visited.  FRH has no control over the third-party use of the cookie.

5 – Security of Your Information

We store your PII on a virtual server located in a datacenter owned and operated by a third party in Latham, New York, USA.  Online access to the server is protected by a combination of security practices including uncommon usernames, long random passwords, and a technical staff monitoring the server 24×365.  Physical access to the server is protected by a combination of on-site security personnel, video surveillance, background screening of employees, and reinforced walls.

Your PII is backed up nightly to a server located in a datacenter owned and operated by a third party in 16192 Coastal Highway, Lewes, Delware 19958, County of Sussex, Unites States.  Online access to the server is protected by a combination of security practices including uncommon usernames, long random passwords, and a technical staff monitoring the server 24×365.  Physical access to the server is protected by a combination of multi-factor access control, a monitored security system, and video surveillance.

FRH has no control over information you provide to any third parties, such as payment processors, even if those third parties are doing work on our behalf.

FRH has no control over the security of your own account information.  This includes your account username, account password, email addresses, and email passwords.  FRH encourages all users to practice good security habits, including but not limited to long random passwords, unique passwords for each account, and regular password changes.

While FRH takes reasonable measures to protect your information, we can not guarantee that it will never be compromised. Your information may be compromised due to a number of factors beyond our control including but not limited to identity theft, attacks on our server or network, phishing scams, weak passwords, misconfigured or malfunctioning software, software exploits, hacking, social engineering, or inappropriate access to your personal computer(s) by a third party.

6 – Children’s Privacy

FRH does not knowingly provide service to children or persons under the age of 18.  FRH’s Terms of Service require all users to warrant to FRH that they are 18 years of age or older.  FRH will not intentionally maintain information about anyone under the age of 18.  If you believe that we have provided or are providing service to a person under the age of 18, please contact us immediately at [email protected].

7 – Public Disclosure

FRH encourages and fully supports the candid, honest sharing of our customers’ experiences with others through public mediums such as web hosting review sites, discussion forums, and social media applications.  FRH may elect to respond to such disclosures in order to clarify or correct factual information, or to provide our opinion on the matter.  Such a response, if given, is intended to ensure that the general public has a full picture of the experience being discussed.

If you publicly share a review, forum post, rating, or any other type of commentary regarding FRH, we may respond in order to correct any inaccuracies or share our perspective.  If we do, we will not disclose any of your PII unless the same PII has already been disclosed by you.  However, we may elect to disclose additional information about you such as account status, payment history, help desk tickets, and our actions.  We may also elect to disclose steps or decisions taken by us and the reason for those steps or decisions.
