Whether we're making coffee or hosting websites, we
never compromise on our hardware.
Location, location, location. It's as important in web hosting as it is anywhere else. Whether you're hosting a personal blog or powering applications for your small business, it's crucial to have a secure, reliable datacenter as your foundation. That's why we utilize two high-end, world-class datacenters:
Our primary datacenter is in the Tier II, SSAE16/SOC2 compliant BurstNET facility just up the road in Dunmore, PA. This facility houses all of our co-location services, as well as most of our virtual (VPS) and dedicated servers. Connectivity comes from a blend of top-name carriers including Level(3), Verizon, Comcast, Zayo / AboveNet, Frontier Communications, and First Communications. In addition, direct fiber provides rapid transit to other major carrier hotels and datacenters including 111 8th Ave (NYC), 401 N Broad St (Philadelphia), and other BurstNET facilities. Backup power comes from 1610 KVA facility-wide UPSes and three on-site diesel generators (3 MW total).
On-site technicians are present 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition to the on-site staff, security is bolstered with limited keycard access, fully enclosed locking racks, and digital surveillence throughout the facility. And because the building is in seismic zone 0 and outside the 100-year floodplain, it provides a stable, secure environment for offsite disaster recovery purposes.
Our secondary datacenter is located in the SAS 70 Type II Certified (annual audits) Databank facility in downtown Dallas, TX. This facility houses some of our virtual (VPS) and dedicated servers. The site's fully-redundant all-Cisco network delivers a blend of bandwidth from major providers including Zayo / AboveNet, Savvis, Internap, TeliaSonera, and Cogent. The 12 power feeds, N+2 transformers, 12 UPS systems and 10 diesel generators deliver N+1 or better power protection. The 4500-ton cooling plant with N+1 redundancy helps keep your server in a cool, protected environment.
Technicians and physical security are on site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Biometric access controls and multiple 360-degree cameras are used to limit and document access to the facility. Housed in a former federal reserve building and backed by an 80,000-gallon water reserve, our Dallas datacenter is the ideal choice for high-security hosting.
